C791

C791 - Eve Langlais Hmmm... A bit disappointed. I was looking for a funny romance to read so it may be I just wasn't in the right mood for this one. It was a far more serious story line then all the other Eve Langlais books I've read but it was well written and had an interesting plot twist. I accidentally bought the second one in this series first so I will read it but I enjoy her humorous stories better.

Moon

Moon - Laurann Dohner Offensive cover! Those briefs are much too high! Lower those babies ASAP!

Intentional Abduction

Intentional Abduction - Eve Langlais 2nd in the series keeps and the laughs keep coming. Eve Langlais doesn't disappoint but book 1 is still my fav.

Bach's Story

Bach's Story - Darla Phelps The story just didn't seem to unfold in an interesting manner. I never really got why I should care about the characters or why they cared about each other. It felt like I was being told a "guess you had to be there" story. While it seems as if the next book should draw it all together I'm not spending another $6.50 for something that should have been included for a complete experience.

His Teddy Bear

His Teddy Bear - Eve Langlais Short read. I wish there had been more written about how the H went from being an asshat regarding her appearance to loving and accepting her as she was. As it stands he went from telling her she was chubby to loving her with no real explanation as to why or how. Unless having only ever boinked toothpicks to the joyful experience of more cushion for the pushin counts as an explanation.

Accidental Abduction

Accidental Abduction - Evelyn Langlais Quick and funny read. Spunky h with some curves and a mountain of an alien H who's an intergalactic badass.

Con & Conjure (Raine Benares #5)

Con & Conjure (Raine Benares #5) - Lisa Shearin I was disappointed in this addition to the Raine Benares series. Pretty much every main character kept making ridiculously stupid decisions. Raine in particular falls into a too stupid to live category which is one of my pet peeves. It feels as if despite everything that has happened to her she is not learning anything nor is she showing any character development. Two new characters were introduced but didn't add anything to the story line that existing characters couldn't have accomplished. Overall I would still recommend this series but if the next book isn't an improvement I don't think I will continue.

Angels' Blood

Angels' Blood - Nalini Singh I'm missing something and I'm not sure what it is. The story is excellent and well written but I didn't feel a connection to the characters which I need to be drawn into a story. I fully intend to read the other books in the series and hope that I was just having an off day as I have enjoyed several of this authors other books without this problem.

Magic Slays

Magic Slays - Ilona Andrews Excellent addition to the series. Everyone should read these books!

Relationship and action scenes flow in a believable fashion not like some books where they seem as if they are just thrown in because we expect them to be there. I'm getting a bit annoyed with all the books that have main characters throwing themselves into idiotic situations/decisions and everything still works out in the end despite the characters not because of them. All of Ilona Andrews books are a refreshing change. If the characters make dumb mistakes bad things happen, they learn and move on.

Highly recommend this series to everyone.

A Brush of Darkness (Abby Sinclair, Book 1)

A Brush of Darkness (Abby Sinclair, Book 1) - Allison Pang The story had a lot of potential but the main character seemed like the wheel was spinning without a hamster. This leads to many lost opportunities for her to educate herself and the reader about the world Ms. Pang is trying to build. She had plenty of opportunities to ask questions of other characters where she chose to end the conversation and walked away. What about the Midnight Marketplace with all it's books? In 6 months she never thought about cracking open a book and doing some independent reading? It gets confusing fast since there is no foundation to keep track of all the different elements and characters introduced. Random sex scenes don't help much as they don't really seem to serve much purpose nor are they anywhere near hot enough to be considered erotica. The story itself jumps from scene to scene or lacks flow for a believable transition.

Overall the whole thing is pretty bad but I will read the next book when it comes out since the world and premise could be great and I wish Ms. Pang luck with her next book.

Oh and I hate the name Brystion calling him Ion was just as bad so while reading I just called him Steve.

Unholy Magic

Unholy Magic - Stacia Kane You must read this series you will not be sorry! Don't be turned off by the drugs like I almost was. These books are dark, gritty and real. They are filled with real emotions and consequences that make you feel the characters pain. Can't wait for the 4th book!

Unholy Ghosts

Unholy Ghosts - Stacia Kane You must read this series you will not be sorry! Don't be turned off by the drugs like I almost was. These books are dark, gritty and real. They are filled with real emotions and consequences that make you feel the characters pain. Can't wait for the 4th book!

Claimed

Claimed - Evangeline Anderson This is a re-read and I can't understand why I gave it 4 stars originally. I don't understand how these 3 woman, who are required to sign up for the bride draft haven't done every thing possible to educate themselves about how the process works, the details of the contracts they would need to sign and their rights and obligations should they be chosen.

Kat who has even sat through depositions and gone through the process of preparing a lawsuit previously, is no use at helping her friend with the details.

The main character Olivia is stupidly annoying and antagonistic. I seriously want to just slap her in the face. For someone who claims to believe the hero will brutalize her and may forcibly claim her she spends all her time intentionally trying to push his buttons. Not a smart move when dealing with someone that actually would be capable of these actions.

City of Ghosts
